An approved 9-year bachelor degree in psychology (minimum IIA honours) or equivalent 9-year APAC-accredited program. Applicants must be eligible for provisional or if applicable, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Applicants with non-Australian degrees must have their qualifications assessed by the APS.
Credit hour requirements consist of a minimum of 95 semester hours of graduate work, plus completion of any undergraduate prerequisites not completed prior to acceptance into the program.

Raphaella: A major career goal for me, and I think this is a career goal common to anyone who is studying psychology, is to really be the best psychologist that you can be so you can help as many people as possible. I feel that the master of clinical psychology at UTS is preparing me for this because of the amount of support that I'm getting from the academic staff. The focus on bringing all of the most current research into our practice has really made me feel confident that I'll be able to achieve that.

A large proportion of time is spent under supervision in the on-campus Health Sciences Clinic treating clients presenting with a variety of psychological, educational and developmental problems.
Students will undertake 6,555 hours of supervised clinical practice in a range of clinical settings that includes not-for-profit organisations, community services, private practices and UQ's internal clinics. During their placements, students will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge acquired through coursework and research to practice and develop their clinical skills in real life settings. Students may be required to undertake clinical placements outside of the Brisbane metropolitan area and students are required to fund their travel, accommodation and daily living expenses.
